Travel
Travel is included for visits across Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, Birmingham and the surrounding area. If you’re further afield, there’s a mileage charge of 45p a mile, and we’ll agree the total with you before anything is booked.
Paying and cancelling
Pay by bank transfer after each session, or in advance for blocks. We ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel. If you, your child or the person you care for is unwell, just let us know and there’s no charge.
NeuroAchieve UK is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to these prices.
Funding
Ways families pay for sessions
Most people start by paying privately, but it’s worth checking these. We’re happy to help with reports and letters.
EHCP (England) or IDP (Wales)
Some children have Conductive Education written into their Education, Health and Care Plan. We can write an assessment report (£90) to support your case.
Direct Payments and personal budgets
If your agreed support plan includes goals we can help with, your social worker may agree to a Direct Payment being used for sessions.
Personal injury and clinical negligence
We can work with case managers and solicitors on brain injury and cerebral palsy claims, with invoices and reports to the standard they need.
Parkinson’s and stroke groups
Local branches and support groups can apply for grants to run group sessions for their members. We can help with the details.
Care homes and schools
Homes and schools usually pay directly, sometimes sharing the cost of one-to-one work with families.
A fair comparison
Charity centres, and where we fit
Several Conductive Education charities run centre-based groups, and some are free to families or ask only for a share of the real cost. They do excellent work. If there is a centre near you with a place, and the travel suits you, it is well worth asking.
What is different about coming to you
- No travelling with a wheelchair or a tired child, and no building to get into.
- The first step is a phone call, usually within two working days, and there is no long contract afterwards.
- One-to-one, built around your own home, school or care home, with the same conductor every time.
- Many families do both: a group at a centre, and one-to-one at home in between. With your permission we are glad to share goals with a centre you already attend.
